GBRSP Engineering Section is responsible for all the developments that involve Engineering and Technical support for projects.
River Embankment
River cutting land is a huge problem in Gilgit Baltistan near river populated areas. This land is mostly used for the cultivation of crops. In summer, most of the rivers are a subject of floods, which destroys both land and crops. River embankment is used to save that land for being a subject of floods and water. 15,000 Kanal of land was saved from submerging in Tisar, Shigar Baltistan. the project cost was 1.2 Million RS.
Hand Pumps
Safe drinking water scheme was introduced by the GBRSP with the help of Turkish donors. Hand Pumps were installed in the required areas. These Hand Pumps have been installed in the districts of Ghizer, Gilgit and Baltistan. So far 45 pumps have been installed.
